accepting inexperience

today VC alum haley harmon (formerly haley harmon) came back to talk to us and she is the cutest. so nice and down to earth. she is the designer of urban outfitter's home ware department (sweet job!) and she got there all by being exactly who she is (even if she found that she was'nt a 'graphic designer' after all) she calmed us all down a bit in telling not to be afraid of 'not being good enough' because great people are not great from the beginning. she referenced both to malcolm caldwell outliers (every person ever to be great, has spent over 10,000 hours getting there) and the american life's ira glass (good taste is more important than great talent because you need to be able to recognize when you suck in order to recognize when you get better) Both very interesting points.
