some charleston experiences thus far...

spent my first night here shucking oysters around a bonfire at a friend's house. when i was told to come over because they were cooking oysters, i guess the northerner in me didn't realize they would be straight out of the ocean, muddy and dirty, or that I would be shucking them open myself. they all were amazed i had never done that before. HA anyway it was a great time!

My dad was down here my first two nights and on his last night we went downtown to the restaurant "Slightly North of Broad" or "SNOB" It gets its name because 'north of broad' is an old saying that basically means you are high class and very wealthy, as it is the border of the historic district. anyway the restaurant lived up to its fabulous reputation because it was absolutely delicious! charleston makes me realize how small the world is. every time i am down here i meet someone and make some weird connection. a girl at the bar that night knew my cousin from Boston College, they had graduated a year apart. very crazy and something like that always seems to happen.

god i love this town.
